Cancer Treatment – Medical Oncology
All locations of The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders offer cancer treatment, or medical oncology, with cancer-fighting medicine that can be swallowed (pills or liquid), injected, or given intravenously. Physicians specializing in this area are called medical oncologists. Chemotherapy, immunologic therapies, targeted therapies, and clinical trials are different types of cancer treatment included in the category of medical oncology.

High Risk Breast Cancer Surveillance Clinic
For those who have had a breast biopsy with cancer cells identified or who have been told they have the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation, Dr. Robyn Young leads the Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth high risk breast cancer surveillance clinic offering close monitoring for these patients. Cancer Treatment – Radiation Oncology
Our locations in Fort Worth, Burleson, and Weatherford provide cancer treatment, or radiation oncology, in which beams of radiation destroy or reduce tumors. This is also called radiation therapy. The Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders offers the following types of radiation therapy:

  • CyberKnife System® Robotic Radiosurgery
