The secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient. These timeless words were written by Francis W. Peabody, MD in 1927 and embody my philosophy on the practice of medicine. I always remember that I am caring for a person with cancer and not just a cancer.

## About Me

Jeremy Ross, MD is one of Fort Worth's native sons and graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in accounting and finance. He started a software company and obtained an internship in investments before a series of events led him to discover his true calling to the field of medicine. He attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University. From there he returned to Texas for internship and residency in internal medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He served as chief medical resident before beginning fellowship training at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, also in Houston. While at MD Anderson Dr. Ross received the Clifton D. Howe Award for Clinical Excellence as well as the Lyndon B. Johnson Fellow-of-the-Year Award. He was honored to serve as the chief fellow for education during his final year at MD Anderson. In 2020 Dr. Ross returned home to Fort Worth to join the physicians and staff at The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, the practice at which his father was a founding partner.

Dr. Ross considers his service in the fight against cancer as his mission in life. He is experienced in the use of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and clinical trials and develops an individual treatment plan for each patient. He has authored two book chapters and multiple other publications in both oncology and hematology, and he is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His interests outside of medicine include running, reading, and aviation. He and his wife Melissa have three children.
