Jharana (Jina) Shrestha, MD is an established Board certified rheumatologist with over 24 years of experience in rheumatology.  She has proudly served the Weatherford community since 2008 and is eager to continue her service alongside her colleagues at The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

Dr. Shrestha began her journey in medicine at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, India. She completed her internal medicine residency at Metro health–Case Western Reserve University and Fellowship at University of Texas Medical Branch.  Her passion for medicine is driven by the bonds she builds with her patients over the course of their lives, and the enjoyment she holds in caring for the health and well-being of each patient.

Dr. Shrestha is active in the community and does voluntary work at the Himalaya Health clinic, a nonprofit free of charge health clinic in Euless. She is also among the first medical volunteers to go to Nepal during the 2015 earthquake.

In her free time Dr. Shrestha is an avid runner, regularly running in the annual Fort Worth, Cowtown Marathon and was a participant in the 125th Boston Marathon.  Aside from her passions of medicine and running, Dr. Shrestha enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Dr. Sanjeeb Shrestha and her children and their Golden doodle, Captain.
