Sampada Acharya, MD
Rheumatologist
About Me
Dr. Sampada Acharya has dedicated over a decade to the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases, bringing together evidence-based medicine and personalized care. She specializes in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and vasculitis.
Dr. Acharya completed her medical school from College of medical sciences, Nepal, Internal medicine residency at Danbury Hospital and fellowship in rheumatology at Yale New Haven.
What sets Dr. Acharya apart is her conviction that the best medicine begins with listening. Every appointment is built around a conversation, not just a chart review.
"The guidelines tell me what works for most people," she says. "My patients tell me what works for them."
This philosophy shapes every aspect of her practice, from shared decision-making on treatment plans to flexible follow-up that fits the realities of her patients' lives. She takes particular interest in helping newly diagnosed patients navigate the emotional weight of a chronic illness alongside the medical complexities of managing it.
Apart from medicine, she enjoys traveling, swimming, and spending time with her kids during her off time.
She currently sees patients at Alliance in Fort Worth and welcomes new patients seeking a collaborative, comprehensive approach to their rheumatic care.
