Dr. Phillip Saunders is a dedicated hematology/oncologist and is thrilled to join The Center for Cancer and Blood Disease. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California San Diego. He then went on to earn my medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency training at Medical City in Fort Worth, Texas, followed by fellowship training in hematology and oncology at NUMC in Hempstead, New York.

“I am proud and honored to join such a quality cancer center as The Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases. My colleagues are some of the best in the field, and I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with them in providing exceptional oncology care. The staff here is kind, caring, and devoted to our patients. Our patients feel safe, loved, and well cared for here. Though a diagnosis of is not a diagnosis I wish anybody to have, I feel blessed with the opportunity to work alongside patients and help guide them through this difficult journey.”

My wife and I are thrilled to move back to Fort Worth and raise our family here. Outside of my professional commitments, I cherish spending quality time with my wife and our two children. I enjoy golfing and have a passion for traveling and scuba diving. I love all sports, especially baseball. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering with youth baseball programs, helping to inspire the next generation of athletes.
