Cancer Screenings
About This Service
Cancer screenings are important tools for detecting cancer early, often before symptoms develop. Early detection can lead to more effective treatment options and improved long-term outcomes. Depending on your age, personal history, and risk factors, your care team may recommend screenings such as blood tests or imaging studies to monitor your health and identify concerns as early as possible. The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders offers accessible screening opportunities throughout the year to support early detection and preventive care.
Screenings We Offer
CCBD offers free PSA screenings for men at all locations Monday through Friday from 12 to 4 p.m. The PSA test is a quick blood draw that measures prostate-specific antigen levels to help identify early changes that may require follow-up or additional evaluation.
CCBD provides annual low-dose CT lung screening events each year from September through November. These screenings help detect lung cancer early in individuals who may be at higher risk.
Pricing:
- Free for first responders
- $50 for non–first responders
Your care team will help determine whether lung cancer screening is appropriate based on your risk factors, health history, and screening guidelines.
Colorectal cancer screening guidance, skin cancer checks, thyroid evaluations, blood tests for hematologic conditions, other age- or risk-based assessments.
