Flora Varghese, MD, FACS
Flora Varghese, MD, FACS is a board certified general surgeon fellowship trained in breast surgical care. Her global experience brings a broad perspective on surgical disease and management to the community.
Dr. Varghese completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. After finishing general surgery residency at Texas A&M Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas, she honorably served in the United States Air Force in Japan, England, and Qatar. She led, advised, and participated in various boards and committees during her military commitment. Dr. Varghese received multiple medals, including the commendation medal during her service.
Upon returning home to the United States, she worked in rural Texas and in Oklahoma at the Indian Health Service. Due to her interest and concern for disparity in breast cancer care in underserved regions, Dr. Varghese completed a breast surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. She worked on research articles, published a chapter, and acquired the latest surgical knowledge and skills in breast disease treatment.
After working in rural Northern California as a general and breast surgeon, Dr. Varghese returns to her home state to focus on breast surgical care. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family. With compassionate care, Dr. Varghese is dedicated to providing surgical expertise and individualized attention to her patients.
